Coastal Cleanup Day 2017. Trash pickup + mural painting at the Village Creek Plaza Arroyo Grande, CA

Our Coastal Cleanup Day event on Arroyo Grande Creek engaged nearly 150 community volunteers to both pick up marine debris and paint and environmentally-themed mural. The day engaged a range of community partners, including landowners, private businesses, and nonprofits. We picked up a total 738 lbs of trash and 141 lbs of recycling. We also painted a mural of over 150 ft. Here are before pictures of the creek:
